A philosophical moment...

In all that we strive for, we will never see more than a glimpse of the perfection that resides beyond the capabilities of this existence. We may momentarily capture it as rain in our cupped hands, and for the time that it lasts, it is sublime.

But to maintain it too long is to allow it sour, negating its value out of being. To let it go at the right time is to miss it immediately. This is the best that we can possibly accomplish, and for the true Seeker, it will never be enough.

Life is the division between those glimpses.

To go too long in between is to despair of this world. To believe that they do not exist is to become cynical. To fail to see or to deny their importance is become cold and hardened. To seek them as priceless moments is to be left forever wanting.

This is our lot. Yet with the fervor of a fanatic, and the loyalty of an addict, we pursue until our departure from here.

Despite the inherently unfulfilled nature of this journey, I wish for it to never end. Not for myself, or for anyone else.
