I understand that there are good amongst the rich, and their failure to use what they have to solve the problem is no worse than my own failure to give everything that I have to the poor in Africa or other MUCH poorer places in the world. I was angry when I wrote this, but I still believe that despite the exceptions, my point still stands. =)
Furthermore, I have never been a registered Democrat or Republican for the reasons that were stated in the above comments. I am a "Decline to State" voter. I believe that the entire system of political parties is inherently flawed. But that is not the topic at hand here...you hit the nail on the head though when you said that the power elite are cooking a wonderful recipe for disaster. Whether or not they know this (and the peanut gallery screams "Conspiracy Theorist!") remains to be seen, but the fact still stands very clearly to those of us who pay ANY sort of attention that there is radical change coming, and whether it comes in the form of reversing the destructive policies of the past few decades or revolution will be known soon enough.
