Gullible

I was thinking today about the drive back from Tallahassee this last weekend, and I remembered as Danielle was driving back and as we neared Highway 231 we noticed dark clouds ahead. This was slightly to be expected since we had previously driven through some crazy dark clouds and rainstorms as we rode along Highway 20. So, with these dark clouds in sight, Danielle convinces me that you can see the rain. Let me tell you, it was not raining where we were driving and it was a good 10 minutes before we drove into it, but Danielle had convinced me that she could see the rain falling up ahead. For those 10 minutes of rainless driving, I spent my time with my head near pressed against the windshield looking up, like an idiot, for this rain that Danielle was able to see and I was not. Sadly, I didn't see the rain till it was over us, but I do wonder... can one really see the rain falling in the distance?
