Thank goodness for Lord of the Rings, which paved the way for fantasy to be a major genre. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows is going to be released on July 21, 2007. Which, by now, everyone surely knows. It will be exciting to get that book and read it quickly and find out what was really going on in the first six. Let's hope JK was able to sew it all together and make everything fit in the end, because that could be a really difficult job. She has a lot of loose ends to tie up.
In movie news, Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix will be released on the 13th of the same month. I'm not nearly as excited about that as I am about this...
427 days until The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian hits theatres! That is going to be so exciting. It is awesome, I can't believe that the entire 7-book series may possibly become movies. They all deserve it, and they're all going to be so good. After this, logically, would follow The Voyage of the Dawn Treader, then possibly The Silver Chair, The Magician's Nephew, The Horse and His Boy, and The Last Battle. That is my prediction for the order of the movies, so write it down and we'll see if it comes true! It's the only way that makes sense to me to be able to keep the actors the same for all the characters. Even though they are not chronologically in the right order, the kids shouldn't be 30 years old when they film their last scene. I would vote for The Last Battle to come earlier because some of the Pevensie (the main four) kids are in it, but I am guessing they will film those scenes shortly after VotDT, or SC, and leave 'em on the shelf for the five years it takes for all the other movies to catch up. They have to end with that movie.
Well, I suppose I should get back to work, which I should have been doing in the first place. But I'm super excited about this!
