Can you tell I'm avoiding working and cleaning...three entries in one day?
Anywho, I thought I'd fill you in on what's going on in my life. I got rabies...see Jon's website/song for details. My final treatment is this coming Friday. Then one month from that, I will get my titer drawn to make sure my body has produced enough antigens to combat the rabies virus exposure. So in 5-6 weeks, this will all be over. And you all will know someone famous (on the CDC's Morbitidy and Mortality Weekly). I am already planning a Jenni-doesn't-have-rabies-anymore-party combined with the puppy's 6-month-birthday-party on March 1st.
I just couldn't wait until the puppies are a whole year old to throw a party! Their three brothers are coming, mom & dad, Bella (chocolate lab of our friends), and Lebowski (friend's very large 120 pound mutt). I'm already planning the food...got some recipes for homemade dog treats (for the dogs only!). Oh, by the way, some of the girls here always pronounce home-made as "hoe-made," and it's kinda contagious. Now everytime I say that, it automatically comes out as HOEmade.
Speaking of dogs...Bella (Seth and Mandie's gorgeous chocolate lab) stays with Valerie and I sometimes and she's just a great dog. Since Seth & Mandie just had a baby, I'm trying very hard to convince them that they don't have time for a dog anymore and that I should adopt her. No luck YET. I went over to their house one night two weeks ago to give Bella her annual rabies boster. She's almost four now so has had the shot several times with no complications. Seth calls about an hour later when I'm home and she's acting a little funny. No big deal. I think she's just having a little pain at the site of injection. Then about 30 minutes later, Seth calls back. Bella's head has swollen up to the size of a basketball and she's freaking out. I'm thinking I killed this wonderful dog so I'm a complete basketcase. I try to do some research on side effects of the vaccine but end up basically having a sobbing panic attack. So Val steps in and calls the vet and gets some information. I find some info online basically saying one rare side effect is anaphalactic shock so now I really think Bella's dying. At the advice of the vet, Bella is given benadryl and is to get cortizone injections if the swelling odesn't receed. The problem is, there's no vet in town so we're all hatching this crazy plan as how we're going to steel cortizone or epinephrine vaccines from the hospital emergency room. Anyway, the swelling receeded, and Bella was much better the next day. She's been having nightmares at night lately and Seth and Mandie keep saying she's picturing me coming at her with a needle. :(

Seriously!!!
So Valerie and I went to play poker last night at my boss (Karl's) house. Then we went to Monica's house and hung out...also a poker game going on. Well, about 1:30 I head home. Val stays. This morning, she's not home. I'm kinda freaking out because that's not at ALL like her. I call Monica's house incessantly all morning, but no answer and the answering machine isn't even picking up. About noon, I'm very panicy. The phone rings FINALLY. It's Val. She informs me that she's in jail and needs $1000 cash for bail. I'm already getting out my checkbook and heating up the truck in like 5 seconds and keep telling her everything's going to be alright and just to not cry and I would be there shortly. IT'S A JOKE!!! She and Monica start laughing. That's the worst joke EVER. And due to my experience, I NEVER would've expected anyone to joke about that. Ugh!!!! Bitches.... So to get her back, here's a picture of Valerie when she just woke up.
Funny, the picture also looks like my dad in the morning.
And here's my boyfriends...
I wish! Actually most of the men here look more like this...
As far as the men go, I could've just stayed in Tennessee! ;)
Okay I swear I'm done...you don't have to read anymore for now. I'm going to clean house for a bit and plan on how to get back at Valerie.
