Just a reminder. God may Judge sins equally but that doesn't mean that all sins are equal in the way that they keep you from growing in Christ. So killing some one is a sin and lying (even to keep from hurting some ones feelings) is a sin, and both sinners are equally guilty before God but the murderer is still worse off than the liar because even though both disobeyed God, the murderer sin drove him farther away from God.
Christians are not only saved FROM something (Hell, duh) We are saved FOR something. (Obeying, serving, blessing God).
If you've forgotten about the second half you're completely missing the point.
