I am not a SEAMSTRESS

Aug 04, 2009 19:14

Why do people at work seem to think I am a seamstress? I am not. I do not work in a factory or a dry cleaner mending clothes. I make costumes sometimes but I am not here to hem your pants or alter a suit.

I will teach you how to sew. I will give pointers to you on your projects but given that I haven't had time to sew anything for myself in over three years, i am certainly not making anything for anyone else anytime soon.

Also the term seamstress really gets under my skin. I don't like it for some reason, so please don't call me one.
