Wow. The last two months have been rough.
I was stupid and went and saw the Texas Chainsaw Massacre. If, during the course of a movie, you find that you're asking yourself "Exactly why am I watching this?" more than four times, probably you shouldn't be watching it. Not bashing the movie, but I think I'll leave the slasher flicks to the young'uns from now on. :)
The shot at the end where he's walking along the road into the darkness was a good one, and a couple of lines were funny, but that's about the best of it, besides
Jordana Brewster.
What I want to know is how come it's okay to publicly view people being maimed and murdered in a thousand and one ways, but it's not okay to view them having sex? (Not that we should stop one, just that we should add the other.)
Sex is healthy, people. Psychologically and, done responsibly, physically. Compared to sex, there's very little psychological goodness to murder and mayhem. Sure, it's fun on the screen, but think about this: our youth only gets to (publicly) see buxom, scantily-clad women with breath heaving and sweat pouring down them in the context of running from murderers and/or cut-up rape scenes (no pun intended) - not in adult, consentual sexual relationships. So the message is, it's okay to see her half-naked and huffing and puffing in fear, but not in arousal?
I'm just saying.
I'm avoiding my chemical kinetics/equilibrium studying, and the whole pile of other classwork I have to do. Also, work, so I have to go. See y'all.
