I see many advantages to going swimming these days, for example:
- My boyfriend wants me to exercise
- I want me to exercise
- It's relaxing, and I'm easily stressed
- It gets me away from my office
- It's cheaper than el cheapo coffee
- It makes me feel as cheerful as though I've had a coffee, for longer
- There are no surges of unreasonable anxiety afterwards
- I get a dose of sunlight and wind, which is very calming
- Swimming doesn't put any heavy impact on my joints
- I'm surrounded by happy and relaxed people
- My appetite is better
- I fall asleep more easily at night
- I can swim for much longer than I can run etc for
- I stop overthinking about things when I'm focusing on my breathing
..I'd see disadvantages too, however I seem to have blinded myself with chlorinated water.
