I was reading the PI today and happened across this lovely bit about how Deputy Paul Schene had assaulted a 15 year old girl accused of stealing her mothers car. The video below shows the incident in the holding cell. Further, the Deputy in question had already been charged previously with DUI and shooting a mentally ill man 11 times. What gets me is the nonchalance, the Deputy coming back to clean up any blood or fluids on the ground, the way that the 2 other officers appear blase about the incident. I give half kudos to the 2nd cop, who after holding the girl down in her cell does rise to semi-protect her from the crazed Deputy.
Obviously, looks can be deceiving, but what part of 15 year old girl did he not understand? assault with a SHOE? give me a break...
I look at it like this: what if it was a parent assaulting their kid? what about a teacher? a neighbor? arrest and detainment. potentially losing your child... classes on anger management... hefty fines...
It just makes me sad and sick that this guy holds a position of authority anywhere. *sigh*
