instead of being so cryptic: here it is.
i became partners in the bookshop on lark street. you know, the one half a block away from me that sells al the used books.
now why did i do this?
well, i'm opening up an all indie/hardcore/local music section with some used and some vinyl. so yeah. it's definitely at the point where i'm officially placing my order this weekend. so whenever the order comes in, i'll be opening up my corner of the store soon.
it's going to start out small but if anyone out there, or if anyone knows of anyone out there that wants to hook up a consignment deal with any cds they might have of local music lemme know. i want to make it so everyone can have easy access to local musicians as well as some more national acts that you just can't seem to find in the stores around here.
sigh. this is pretty big. wow. i can't believe it's pretty official. looking at a list of 100 pages of cds from one vendor i'm ordering from.. this is pretty overwhelming. but i'm so damn excited. seriously. this is something i've always wanted to do and now it's a reality. it's not huge, and i'm not opening a huge place, just a smallish shop in a shop, but i am dropping a lot of money into it to start out so here's to uhh.. hopefully bringing some good music into this area, and helping improve the scene in some way.
