DECA COMPETITION AND STUCO CONVENTION!!!
Thursday: I woke up at 8:00A.M. oh my I was so late! The bus for the DECA competition today left at 8:00A.M.! So I didn't know what to to. I woke up my brother and he couldn't drive me anymore because he was late for work now. So I called my dad who was at work, so he came and picked me up. I had to stop by my school though because I had to leave my luggage for the Student Council trip there. When I got to school, I was surprised to see CJ there! He thought we had to be at school by 8:40A.M. not MCC. But we really had to be at MCC by that time, so his sister picked us up from school and took us to MCC. My competition I thought went kinda bad, but I found out later from someone that my partner and I actually ranked in the top 6 in our competiton! (I wasn't there anymore to see the award ceremony, so I guess I'll find out on Tuesday.)
At 11:00A.M. Ms. Seely picked up Tamra, Emily, and I from our DECA competiton and we were off to Tucson for the Student Council convention! yay! At 12:30P.M. we stopped my an outlet mall in Casa Grande. We ate lunch at Wendy's. Then I bought some really cute Helly Kitty pajamas from Rue 21 for only $5! yay! We left there at 2:30P.M. We arrived to our hotel around 4:00P.M. Then at 5:40P.M. we met up and ate at T. G. I. FRIDAYS for dinner. The service was kinda bad so we arrived to the opening session kinda late. Everyone had to dress up and be school spirited. So we wore our stuco sweatshirts and some accesories. It was so unbelivably loud whne we first entered the opening session at Sonoma High! I've never heard such loud people before! wow stuco kids really are so so spirited! Every school was shouting their school fight song or a cheer or something, so you can imagine how loud that was with hundreds of kids. Well opening session was fun. There was this lady named Harriet Turk who was a motivational speaker. She told us to repeat over and over this phrase: I am somebody special. If you don't like me TOUGH!! Cuz I am cool enough, smooth enough and doggone it, I am HOT enough to be who I want to be! hehe ya like extremly corny but I think it's important enough to be written down on here. We left the opening session a little early because it was getting really boring becasue the comedy act wasn't really that funny. We got back to the hotel around 11:00P.M. Tamra and I ended up just talking til about 2:30A.M.!
Friday: Cowboys and Indians dress up day // We woke up at 6:30A.M. We ate breakfast at around 7:30A.M. I think. Then we went back to Sonoma High School. The guest speaker today was Scott Greenberg. wow he's great! He helped me really realize a lot of things. Later in the day I went to a Stress Management workshop. I learned a lot of things like what stress really does to you and how to prevent it. We went back to our hotels at 3:00P.M. Tonight was either 50's, 80's, or medevil. We chose to go 50's! yay! Then at 5:40P.M. we ate at Broadway Cafe, which is like a 5 and Diner. The food wasn't really that good, and te service was once again bad. ugh. We got to Sonoma High late again. We arrived at 8:00P.M. wow tonight was sooo FUN! The most fun I've had in awhile! And the dance ws the most fun dance I've ever been too! We also sang some karaoke!!! hahaha that was great. We when home at 10:30P.M. Tamra and I wanted to go out still, so we went to to Emily's room to see if we were gonna go out still. We ended up not going anywhere. I fell asleep in there for a little while. But when I got back to my hotel room, I got so awake again. So we cooked some Ramen and it was fun hehe. We went to bed around 2:00A.M.
Saturday -- TODAY: Career dress up day // We woke up at 7:24A.M. and we had to be done with breakfast and with our luggage packed by 7:45A.M. We couldn't believe we woke up so late! But somehow we still made it! But we still ate breakfast a little late. We got to Closing Session really early so we could get the seats we wanted. The speaker today was awesome! His name was Russ Peak and he was like phsycic or something! Even if I tried to explain it, you all might think that it was fake and that I'm just extremely gullable, but I was there and it definately really seemed like it couldn't be fake! It was so real! But whatever. It was cool. Then we finally were on our way home by 11:00A.M. and got home by 1:00P.M. And that was my Student Council Convention trip! It was so fun! I hope I can go again next year!!!
