U.N.C.L.E
Gee, 't has been a long time since my last update, but here I go:
I bought some dvd's and a cd today, and the people who know me well enough know that that can make me happy
I bought Spaceballs (yes the SW parody by (and with) Mel Brooks) which is probably one of the best parody movies I have ever seen (Pizza the Hutt, the Alien scene, Barf, etc.) Mel Brooks can be a genius sometimes
I also bought Ocean's Eleven, the remake that is, with Clooney, Pitt, Damon, Garcia and Roberts, that is just one heck of a feel good movie that you can see almost anytime.
And the one thing I am most proud of (of the three, of course Twin Peaks Season 1 and my Special Edition Usual Suspects rule even more):
I bought a The Man From U.N.C.L.E DVD containing the first 2 movies, The spy with my face and One Spy too many. Now you would think, holy cow, that JeXus really is an idiot, and I know that The man from U.N.C.L.E is well before my time, but I have nevertheless seen each and everyone movie there is, in the good ole days when TNT (or TCM) where still on normal cable. 1960's spy movies rock, especially when they contain Robert Vaughn and David McCallum as american and russian spies working for U.N.C.L.E and fighting Thresh!
Another thing I finally got is the Origin of Symmetry album by MUSE. I am a great MUSE fan and I finally have got all albums (I had origin of symmetry before, but that was a copy and I really wanted the real thing) So I am one happy camper right now, listening to MUSE and watching weird movies (not necessarily at the same time of course)
Hmmpf tonight there is a GUTS bonding night (and no, I was assured that there was no bondage involved if you don't want to, so that is a good thing I guess) We'll be having dinner at Rigolleto's which is a pizzaplace not far from my own place (not necessarily my own pizza place.) After that there probably will be some hard voluntairy drinking going on.
I have to see if it's fun...cause eating dinner with 20 to 25 people is a lot of fuss, but then again, everything is a fuss when you're with a lot of people now isn't it? Oh well, I'll see and if it isn't any fun, I'll just go home and watch some Man From UNCLE, muhahaha!!!
For some other stuff: Snooker is really cool, I cannot believe how fascinating it is to see some guys you don't know knock several balls in a pocket (no not just any pocket, a pocket is a hole in a snooker table, or a pool table) Never understood though, why does every derivation of biljarts have got to do with water? A game of Pool? A Pool table? It's not as if you're swimming on a table now are you? Nevermind the fact that water musn't come anywhere near the so called Pool table, or else the cloth will get wet and the balls will not roll...not that the balls will roll in a pool though..That's confusing... And don't forget a game of Snooker! Cause that has got...ab-so-lutely nothing to do with..water...Okay now I'm downright confusing myself, or making fun of the people who actually take the time to read this.
That calls for a little experiment doesn't it!? Yes it does! Somewhere next month you'll all be tested and see how many crap you remembered from my LJ posts...and if you don't know that much..then the joke is on you! Or I'll just not test you and then the joke is still on you! And the only one laughing will be me (and the people who believe the same thing as me (which is something I'll not tell, I'll only tell to those interested, and if they ask, then that will be the exception to the rule!)
If you still follow all my babble, then congratulations to you, you are now officially a LiveJournal geek! Or just a geek, or like you know...not! But then you're something else, and if you still haven't figured out what the heck you really are...then stop looking at my LiveJournal and find out by posting more on your own LiveJournal, that should help shouldn't it! I guess it would, but what do I know right? I just babble and babble, but that doesn't matter, as long as you are okay with it, than I am okay with it, and if you're not okay with it, than I am still okay with you not being okay with it and just ignore your not-okay-beingishness and still be okay with whatever the hell I was okay with in the first place.
Wooptidoodie to you all and let me know whatever the hell you are! Cause I'm dying to find out what makes you people tick! I really am!
