Short indeed, i was thinking differently about the japan route. Glad you are liking it :D. The world cup for cricket starts next month, ends in april, so i am sure you'll get know the game a little better. Canada is playing in it, but i seriously doubt they are going to televise it here, just between us, canada won't have much of a chance unless there are upsets in the current seedings. Each group has four teams, each group has two teams which are established, so it is very unlikely any of the other teams will break through the preliminary rounds.
We'll definitely be checking out some cricket, even though we don't really understand it. I'm also super excited to see some rugby and australian rules football.
Australian rule football was too physical for my taste. Rubgy seems like a clean sport ;).
You might actually be the first person who has ever taken interest in cricket and doesn't play the game. All the people i have met so far, know the rules, so me at a loss on how to explain them simply, other then watch the game and listen to what the commentators are saying. They are generally ex-cricketers and have really good comments and insights.
