It is with regret that I write to you about the cancellation of the Fall 2007 Archaeology program. After careful consideration, the directors of the AIRC have decided that the Fall 2007 Archaeology program will not be offered in the fall. Due to last minute cancellations, enrollment was reduced to numbers that we feel cannot provide a stimulating academic environment. The American Institute strives to foster the most enriching educational experience in Rome through its accessibility to closed-to-the-public sites and distinguished scholars working in Italy. Such a learning experience is enhanced by students' attendance and interaction. With that in mind, we continue forward for Spring 2008's dynamic archaeology program, and we would like you to participate as well! We offer you automatic acceptance into the Spring 2008 program. Your $500 deposit will transfer to reserve your place. In addition, AIRC will award you a $1500.00 scholarship and textbook honorarium. If
you do not wish to join the Spring 2008 program, your $500 deposit will be refunded immediately.
We hope that these solutions will minimize any inconvenience and disappointment that you may have.
