Hello, friends and followers! Hope you're all well! Yesterday I celebrated my 28th birthday with my family at my parents' house. My official birthday isn't until tomorrow, but this was the best time for us all to get together. As to be expected with my family, there was never a dull moment, and I feel safe to say it was one of the best birthday parties I've ever had. Instead of recapping everything like I would normally do, I'm going to try to share the story through pictures.
This is the Alpinzipfel (it's better if you say it with an angry German accent). This is my brother's new winter toy that he brought to the party. It's a bit erotic looking, isn't it?
This is me going for my first ride on the Alpinzipfel. :D Since our driveway is a quarter mile long (downhill), it makes for a perfect tobogganing track.
My second ride with added dramatics.
Dad and me on the GT snowracer.
Dramatic wipeout.
My brother getting "run over" by his fiancee's car while riding the Alpinzipfel.
After we were finished with the snow antics, we went indoors and had some snacks and played some Beatles Rock Band on my bro's X Box 360. Then we had dinner which consisted of Jeffrey's Special - named after my brother (it has corkscrew noodles, ground beef, onions, mushrooms, peppers, tomato sauce, and melted cheese all over top), my mom's famous Caesar salad, and garlic bread. Yummmmmmm.
Game time! As per our tradition, whenever we have any sort of celebratory family gathering, we always play Balderdash. My mom got all my favourite treats - cashews, sour keys, and peanut m&ms. I freaking love her.
Cake time! My mom made one of my absolute favourite desserts. It's called Peaches and Cream. It starts with a layer of graham cracker crust which she triples in thickness for me. Then a layer of cream cheese, a layer of custard, and a layer of peaches. Lather, rinse, and repeat, finishing off with a very thick layer of whipped cream. Guhhhh. It's heaven, my friends. Oh, and just ignore the '60' on the top. Someone forgot to get candles. :D
My bro gave me some new karaoke CDs for Christmas and he made the most hilarious card I've ever seen in my life. As soon as he emails me the picture file, I'll share it with you all. It must be shared. My grandparents gave me some amazing chocolates and some money. My parents are waiting until later today to give me my present. We all had tons of fun together - so much fun, in fact, that everyone crashed here for the night. Another awesome birthday for the books! :)
