Juicing: Day Twenty-Eight

Jan 30, 2009 12:21

I've read that once you start really craving food/feeling like you want to eat again after an extended fast, it is time and you are ready. I've gone back to dreaming about foods--all foods, not just garlic bread. Obviously, I'm sticking it out for the full thirty days, but Monday will be joyous (I think). The recipes I have concocted in my head on this fast have been amazing. I can't wait to try them out. ;)

I am nervous about going back to solid foods. It is a control issue. It is easy to control juicing and you feel great while doing it. Kwok and I were just saying last night that I have had more energy in the last month than I have had in the last year and a half. Pretty amazing stuff.

Anyway, my breakfast juice this morning tastes absolutely stellar:
-2 mangoes
-some water

Yum!

Okay, so I went shopping today and to the doctor--got painkillers and got some more fruit. Nonetheless, that mango juice was so good earlier I decided to have another! haha! I'm definitely becoming lazy in these last days. I'll give that to myself though. ;)

For dinner, I heated up juice from:
-3 potatoes
-4 carrots
-2 tomatoes
-4 stalks of celery
-spices

It made A LOT. The heated potato also kind of made it like gravy. There ended up being two whole bowls. Guess what Kwok's lunch will be tomorrow? :)
