a Befriendly Ambassador

Oct 22, 2007 12:40

the weekend's over so quickly, yet again.

but the weekend was good. Arrow on Saturday was really awesome; Pastor Benjamin's message couldn't have been more apt, not just for me, but i believe for almost everyone else too. Pastor mentioned something specifically about the subject of Economics, which was undoubtedly the Word for me... there's no subject i loathe more than Economics, but praise the Lord for there's still a whole lot of hope for me because His wisdom is over and above my (in comparison)superficial distaste for the subject.

there was a short Ambassadors meeting before service in which Deaconess Tina announced that she would be taking over Lynne as the head of the department, and that we will no longer be called "Ambassadors" but "Befrienders".

hmmm. i honestly prefer the term "Ambassador", but Dns Tina shared that with a change in name comes transformation... so yes, it's good to learn how to embrace change and the excitement it brings.   :)

neways, after Arrow, Bobby and i left to meet 04S41 for Bao's surprise belated birthday celebration. in just one night, i visited 2 places in Singapore which i've never been to --- Villa Bali & Dempsey Hill; places which are virtually impossible to get to without a car/cab. tsktsk, call me ulu, but i guess being a true blue Eastie, i really don't know very much about the non-eastern part of Singapore (with the exception of the city/town area, of course). as usual, a good turnout and a heart-warming affair.   :)
