Moving... done! Audition... sometime this week! Jamaica... 5 more sleeps!
Well, it is finally done! Parent's showed up at my place Thursday night. We had dinner and got to bed at a decent hour. Up and at it Friday morning, picking up the moving truck at 9:00am. The move itself was done by 3:30pm, so mom and I went back to the other place, picked up stuff in the fridge, did a last go around, dropped the keys on the counter and said BE-BYE!
Saturday mom wanted to go shopping, she wanted to buy all the stuff I was missing for the apartment... crazy lady that she is, I love her. So we went shopping and got back to the new place around 2:30pm. Worked unpacking boxes until 9:30pm or so. Then had dinner and watched a movie with my folks.
Yesterday I didn't do ANYTHING! Got up late, had a coffee in front of my computer and then watched my taped show. Folks came back over and we played cards all afternoon and had a late kick ass dinner of glazed ham. Yum! We went to bed around 10:30 or so... I had to work at 7:00 this morning (instead of 7:30... I know it's only a half hour, but it makes a difference).
I love the new place, it's finally an apartment I can call home. Of course it's not perfect, but then what apartment is? I've got hard wood floors everywhere, which is great, but the place is not new, so they creak like mad! But then again, I live alone, so who's gonna wake me up in the middle of the night walking around? And the walls aren't that thick, so I can still hear neighbours, but at least they're not party teens. They're adults and families, which, they all work, so they go to bed at some point. Which means I get to sleep too... so, all in all, not too shabby. :) Gonna have to have a little house warming party in May. Hope you can all make it!
I'm exhausted, but at least the worst is over now and I can finally relax a little! Gonna slowly unpack the rest of my boxes, do some laundry and such. Going for a massage on Tuesday after work, and Wednesday I'm going for a manicure and pedicure. Going to pack my suitcase on Thursday (although of course, being me I already started... ;) ), then Friday Daniel and I are going for dinner at his dad's place, and Saturday, his mom will be driving us to the airport so we can be on our way to blessed Jamaica. God I need this vacation!!!
