Long time no type

Hey yeah so it's been a LONG time since I've been on here. Well I went to Alaska and it was pretty much amazing. I've decided that if it's possible I'm going to live there at least one year out of my life. What an amazing state, and those people are SO nice! Our last concert there was televised, and we record next week...scary!

While we were on tour I had a really good conversation with Matt Newmyer. This guy is like my older brother away from home. We pick on each other, have meaningful conversations, and his girlfriend is just the sweetest nicest prettiest girl ever, anyway, we were talking about why it is so hard to get on deeper levels with people. To get to know real people and not the fakeness they portray and we came to the conclusion that maybe people avoid the deeper questions we try to ask because they have not taken the time to examine themselves. Like socrates said, "the unexamined life is not worth living." I was thinking about this and decided there is a level of truth to it at least in my own life.

As a result, I have been trying to journal to examine my life, and I think you really do get to the heart of some of the feelings you have and actions you choose to do. It's good b/c then you know what you need to start working on. The examined life is a painful life b/c you begin to see all your flaws, but I think it is better than living in a somewhat stagnant unexamined life.

On another note David Pham is in Chicago!! We went to the field museum on Sunday and I got to meet his way awesome friends and we all had a grand time in all the exhibits, especially the jade exhibit ;)
