Wheeee!
So, yesterday I visited the Gift Center downtown. I was able to get some lovely sterling silver pieces and some beautiful beads. When I got home I made these two items straightaway:
This pair of earrings using fake pearls I had lying around and these mismatch rhinestone rings [suddenly I forget what they're called] that were part of a pair of handmade earrings I received as a gift last year. Needless to say, the woman who gifted me them didn't really know me and evidently didn't spend much time on my present... but oh well, I'll take her rhinestones any day. And this features two beautiful bright, shocking blue crystal rondelles that were part of yesterday's haul! Yay.
And this necklace. Featuring a stray peachy coin pearl, 4 golden glass beads, and 2 tiny nugget pearls. I just thought the colors would work well enough together, and on viewing the finished product, they're not half bad. Maybe the drilling on the pearl is a tad crooked, but... oh well. That's why it's a stray.
Anyway, I'm keeping these two pieces for myself. :D Can't put everything up for sale, ya know.
Also, devastating news: I bought a few petite pearls yesterday also, only to find when I got home that the drilling is too narrow to fit my headpins. I need some thinner findings, stat. Those pearls are really darling.
