Snowbound!
Well, I don't think I have ever seen this much snow fall at once here, and certainly not before January. This is just nuts!
I had to get this shot of my cat in the snow this morning, the contrast was just too striking. I took a few pics this time, as the snow just kept on coming and actually stuck this time. The neighbor down the street had a full-size snowman in his driveway - we've never made anything bigger than a 1 foot tall snowman before. Too bad Phebe has that cold (and no snow gear). We could have built a snowman when we got home last night. Here's the front of our house, me without feet, a closeup of the tree out front, and Phebe Claus:
Needless to say I never made it to the post office last night, as I was sliding all over the place in just the several blocks home from the office. By the time I got there, if I got there, it would have been closed. So, my stuff may or may not make it by Saturday. I'm bummed. And I could have got it to the PO before I went to work yesterday (and before the weather got so bad) if I hadn't run out of strapping tape for the boxes!
I told my boss this morning I would get to work as soon as the roads in my area were drivable for my little car. So I am going to go the the PO first. Wish me luck!
