Thumbs Down

to Savers thrift store. I have bought many awesome items there, including formals, shoes, jeans, etc. I went at lunch today, and they no longer put one group of tagged items half off each day and they raised all their prices. They want 3 bucks for all their hardback books, regardless of size, age, condition, etc. And the cost of the paperbacks is based on the coverprices. *shrugs*. I'll hit Goodwill tomorrow.

I did manage to spend nearly 30 bucks anyway, as I found a pair of Doc Martens in my size, brown leather oxfordy-type lace-up shoes, not boots, nice enough to wear to work with khakis (or jeans on casual day) and in good shape, as well as some nice magical-ish fabric, a shirt my mom needs for her "Young at Heart" choir uniform, and a grey hogwarts-like pleated skirt (lightweight for once!) in a size 12, but it seemed a bit small. Never know when a wizard-school skirt will come in handy. ;P

shopping, good thrift-store gone bad
