Monday coffee rant

As usual, I start my Monday saying, "Well, I didn't get EVERYTHING done that I wanted to, but, ..."
I did totally clean up and find all the attachments for the vacuum cleaner. Hadn't used it in a really long time. Put in a new bag and let P vacuum the living room rug.

Um, I knit on that bleeding class blanket for Ps class auction basket until my ( Read more... )

hmmmmm. maybe just some short quotes about books and/or reading would make some good bookmarks? I think I have some cardstock for the printer, but if I don't I have some scrapbooking cardstock that's already the size of bookmarks and some sticker paper for the printer, so I could print and stick. I might even get around to a few fabric ones, they're easy...if I have some doublesided adhesive interfacing that is.

I found the perfect BIG open basket today at Thrifttown. The fabric liner is country fabric and sucks, but I think I have some holiday fabric, and if I don't I could just decorate with pretty ribbon and throw some basket filler in the bottom. I also found a cathouse, that is a birdhouse on a pole. The pole is wrapped with carpet but it kind of smells a bit, so I'm going to rip off the carpet and wrap the pole with the sisal rope I bought the other day and put Pouncy's cushion in the birdhouse.

As for the blanket, we rented a movie to watch since with the writer's strike there are no new Daily Shows or Colbert Reports on, and I sat and watched it last night and didn't pick up my knitting. *smacks head* I'll be sure to knit on it tonight.

And that's a novel of a reply, so i'll stop now. ;P

Quick answers to long reply...

bookmarks...I'll see what I can come up with for quotes

Awesome on the badsket and kitty house. Mine definitely prefer sisal over carpet for scratching.

Good luck on your knitting! Must've been a good movie if you never picked it up. ;)

SHortcuts, by Robert ALtman. I highly recommend it, it was riveting. Um. Not when G is in the room unless you want ALOT of questions. ;)
