Crafty Update

ATCs are completed! And I made 27, so I'll have a "few" extras with me, just in case... :D

And, I started cutting and shaping my mask, decided I screwed it up so I threw it away, then cut up the plastic gold one, decided I hated it, dug the home-made one out of the the trash bag in my craft room and took a good hard look at it. Plugged in the hot glue gun and started gluing feathers to it madly... lol Added brown felt to the beaky area to make it more pointy and, for lack of a better word, well, more beaky, and after finishing covering with feathers, I outlined the eyes and beaky area with red sequin trim. I hot glued the stick to the back of the mask, but forgot to wrap with ribbon first, so I need to remedy that tomorrow and see if the glue holds. If not, I'll think of something to help keep it on. Tomorrow I HAVE to clean up all the feathers and plaster dust, etc. What a mess. Once I'm certain the stick will hold and it's wrapped with ribbon I'll take a pic of the finished mask before packing it in bubble wrap for the trip to NOLA.

So I created my to-do excel worksheet yesterday, and got to mark two things off already!!!! Amazing, the checklist is already helping, or if not the checklist, the general panic mode I'm in now... lol Seriously, though, I think making the checklist and assigning deadlines for the various things is a big help.

And while at the thrift store saw the perfect way to make capelet and attach to ball dress, so sketched it and put it in my purse, then ran next door to Joann's and found the perfect fabric, and bought two yards, plus a treble clef and 8th note iron on appliques!

I must stop buying supplies now and start actually fixing up that dress of my mom's and make my accessories...  As much as I've spent on craft supplies I could have hired someone to make it for me!
