HMMMMM........
So Friday was definitely a shi*ty end to a rather shi*ty week, I still haven't done the work I brought home for the 3day weekend, but a ray of sunshine has arrived. Since I won't be going to Vegas in May after all (long story not to be gone into here), perhaps I can go the opposite direction and join everyone at Phoenix Rising? I haven't talked to my hubby yet, but he'll be more amenable to the idea financially (as will I) if I can share the cost of a room with at least one other person. I know most everyone will have already booked and arranged for roomies, but maybe not???? I should tell you I snore, but it's not as bad now that I've lost some weight, and it's not as bad in a humid environment, and hell, we'll be in New Orleans, so who's gonna sleep?
I need some tips on PR, though, from you seasoned conventioneers.;) I don't have any costumes (I've used all my costuming energies over the years for my daughter and husband - the only thing I 've ever made myself is an Elizabethan one to match his Shakespeare costume). I might be able to make one though... And I don't currently have any signature HP crafts, but maybe could come up with one for swapping... so I don't want to be one of those people who just tag along... I want to get involved and meet people, especially fans who knit as I need all the knitting advice I can get. I'm about to start re-reading the books again for my own creative inspiration and just because I love to read them. Maybe I'll be inspired to make something... Anyway, I don't want to impose on a group of people I've so recently met online (except for ofenjen who's like a sis to me anyway), but you all sound like so much fun that I think the whole experience of PR would be, well, as Ron would say, "bloody brilliant". So..............?
