life goes on

So today, Chris and I dropped off some things for mom at the hospital. While we were talking Charlene and my nephew Chip stopped by to visit. At first, He saw the tubes and got a little shy about giving mom a hug. After a few minutes and my mom explaining it's alright and she was wok, he finally close enough for a hug and kiss. Charlene mentioned that Chip had talked about this being the place my dad was at when he passed. I can't believe how much that kid has grown. My dad and him were two peas in a pod. I hope Chip is able to keep his memories of my dad intact as he grows up. I often wish my memories of my grandfather were not so fuzzy, It's very hard for me to remember him prior to getting Alzheimer's. I'd hate to think Chip's only memories would be of my dad being ill, though it's most likely to be the case.
