"Anybody wanna take a whirl at the solo?"
El oh el @ morning rehearsal.
Me, Atamosi, Isabela, and Lily raised our hands. The solo for Ravel's Bolero spans sixteen measures, so Ms. Johnson assigned us each four measures. Then she looked directly at me and Mosi and said, "And if there's a tied note in between, tough."
I got the first four measures and did pretty well, although my intonation was a little off until I got to the second measure (apparently nobody other than me noticed) and I was stupid and left my mute on so I could barely be heard over the cellos and violas.
Mosi just cut in at the tied note so that we wouldn't hafta to bother switching off in the middle of it, and he was DRASTICALLY LOUDER than I was because he didn't have a mute on. xD He was off, too, and then it came Isabela's turn. She did extremely well, but later she said that she had messed up and well, I didn't notice xD Lily came in not counting and Ms. Johnson ended up having to correct her. The four of us had a good laugh afterwards.
Also: Orion is pretty hot.
