1. What did you do in 2008 that you’d never done before?

2. Did you keep your new year’s resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
(Be a generally nicer person) I think so XD

For the new year....I would like to stop constantly arguing with my parents (and to actually tell them I've been using the bus) and to be a truer friend. I'll also try to skip school only when absolutely necessary, not whenever I feel like it T_T
3. Did anyone close to you give birth?
Ah...no.
4. Did anyone close to you die?
No, thank goodness.
5. What countries did you visit?
I went to Canada over the summer. I was also in more than three states, but they don't count as 'countries'...
6. What would you like to have in 2009 that you lacked in 2008?
I would like to have a bow that won't self-destruct and possibly a violin with a better sound post -Laughs.- Other than that I have everything I could wish for ♥ (Well, not everything...)
7. What dates from 2008 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?
The auditions for Musicopia and the first two rehearsals for Musicopia. So much awkward xDD The day I was effectively ditched by someone who I thought was my best friend. The day I got caught playing in positions and was forced to move to the first violin section. The day a conductor looked directly at me and said "Although we don't know who will be konzertmeister by concert time" and hurt the current konzertmeister and made me feel so guilty. The day of the winter concert. The day of my first private lesson. The day I fell down the stairs at my summer home. The day my dad disowned me. The next day when he reowned me xD And especially the day I thought I would never be able to play the violin again and cried so hard with relief when told that it would be possible.
8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
I got a solo :3
9.. What was your biggest failure?
I got an 83 on my first Social Studies quiz What I did to my bow and probably that incident in August with the fire and the "You'll never play music again." Thank goodness that Fate has mercy =D
10. Did you suffer illness or injury?
I get ridiculously sick before every audition. That just doesn't count anymore. And again, the incident in August. T_T Why do so many of these questions go back to that?
11. What was the best thing you bought?
My mute. That is just SO cool.
12. Whose behavior merited celebration?
Not too many people, actually XD Most of the musical people I know. Most.
13. Whose behavior made you appalled and depressed?
Everybody at school. No kidding, I need to apply for a transfer. And take the bus every day to my new school :3
14. Where did most of your money go?
Strings. I popped so many strings this year xD They almost constantly needed replacing.
15. What did you get really, really, really excited about?
My new friends. My orchestras and lessons. My social studies teacher making me a turkey sandwich =D

17. Compared to this time last year, are you: (a) happier or sadder? (b) thinner or fatter? (c) richer or poorer?
a) Sadder - but my happy last year was such a selfish happy. I was happy by talking trash, by being a condescending bitch, by doing things that nobody except me benefited from. My happy this year is from being surrounded by real friends and music and being shown a larger world, outside of my school. It was so childish of me to presume that my classmates were the rest of the world. Maybe I laugh less often - but at least now I'm laughing at things are truly are funny, not lies and gossip and others' pain. I guess I really am happier, too, in a way -Laughs.-
b) Thinner - I weigh six pounds less, which is actually not good because I'm at the age where I'm supposed to be growing.
c) Poorer. Strings cost a lot -____-
18. What do you wish you’d done more of?
Studying, practicing, dancing.
19. What do you wish you’d done less of?
Crying with my stuffed dog in my room.
20. How will you spend Christmas?
Who knows? What will be, will be. I don't have any plans but I'm sure my parents will ♥
21. Did you fall in love in 2008?
Yes. 2008 was the first year that I experienced real longing for someone, not a little schoolgirl crush. 2008 was also the first year that I cried multiple times over the same guy.
22. What was your favorite TV program?
La Corda. Definitely La Corda.
23. Do you hate anyone now that you didn’t hate this time last year?
That lady on the bus who was loud and rude...xD
24. What was the best book you read?
I can't even remember the last book I read at this moment ._.
25. What was your greatest musical discovery?
Tartini's other concertos - the Devil's Trill isn't the only work worthy of notice in his repertoire.

Cell, mp3 player, keyboard, private lessons, admittance to multiple orchestras x)

Unlimited texting - which I'm supposed to get in January if I behave myself xD

Music. If it weren't for music I probably would've gotten into a million fights at school and been expelled.

The previous owner of my summer home had subscriptions to fashion magazines - and a lot of them. I ended up reading them when I was bored and now I'm incredibly chic XDD
32. What kept you sane?
Music. Always music. And my stuffed dog Sophie. And my social studies teacher who tried to give me love advice (and pointedly ignored my uproarious laughter) and had his wife make me a turkey sandwich.
...Also, he threatened to kidnap me and take me home so his wife could meet "that adorable girl in his third-period class." XD

None because I don't pay attention to that stuff
