My professor, the one who has basically made this whole conference China trip thing happen for me, keeps piling things on me to do. And I don't mind really, because he's in the process giving me crazy-good opportunities, but like, this is a lot of pressure. I'm writing a report on the conference to be posted to the Chinese university's website, and he's emailed me and told me it needs to be done as fast as possible after the conference. I'm *also* writing a shorter version of that report that he has already talked a journal into publishing. And then, earlier today, he forwarded me a set of letters between himself and UNO's Public Relations Director wherein he talked UNO INTO POSTING THE REPORT TOO.
So I sent him back:
I'm starting to think you get too much enjoyment out of putting more pressure on me.
(that is a joke)
This morning, I got home from my overnight shift at work, checked my email, and found:
Mary,
This arrived timely to stop me from writing to Chancellor Tim Rian and asking him to send me a letter of greetings for the conference's success to be delivered by you at the opening. I'm kidding. :)

I just, like, blinked at the screen, then headdesked. Then posted this, because dammit other people should see what I have been putting up with for the last three weeks.
