Well I had a shitty morning, I had to go to a vaccination clinic this morning at the Aurora Animal Shelter. Which in itself was an awesome learning experience and it was quite fun. However when we first got there we got a call of a dog coming in with a deep laceration....... of course it had to be a Pit and it was the most beautiful dog!! He was white with tan spots and green eyes! He had been stabbed by some stupid fuck, the gash was in his shoulder all the way to the bone. Even though he was hurting he was the sweetest boy probably about 2 years old, I was in love with him instantly! The cut was clean and would have been easily fixed, I asked the lady a the shelter if she would like me to go get the doctor so we could patch him up. She told me to go grab the euthanasia solution and that we were going to put him down and that I was going to do it. I told her I would not, but I had to restrain him while it was done. He looked into my eyes and I kissed him on he forehead and it was over. I cried and I am no as I write this. I hate that Pits are considered un adoptable, it such crap! I decided today that I am going to start volunteering a the pit rescue if they will have me. I want to find the owner of that pit and borrow his knife!!!
