I had an interesting day today, I had one lady who wanted to have her order home delivered but she changed her address and my computer kept telling me that it was wrong and wouldn`t let me go on to the order page so i had to ask her to keep repeating her address back to her. She accused me of confusing an 85 year old and pretty much made me feel like a was doing it on purpose and didn`t know my own job. She hung up as I was getting a supervisor to help me out.
My second challenge was a lady inquiring about her jacket that wasn`t at the store yet and it turned out that it become backordered (to be recieved at the store at a later date) she freaked out at me saying that she needed that jacket for Monday for a trip, which I can understand I mean when you order something and is told that it is available for a day and it wasn`t there, but then she told me to call the closest store to her and ask them if they have the coat she wants and to send it to the store to where she will pick it up at 5 today. So I did but they didn`t have the size she wanted and the lady at the store said that I should check a system to see what store has what item in what stocks, which I don`t have but the way she said it made me feel like a child who needed guidence. The customer even yelled at my supervisor who was so calm with her. I didn`t know what to tell her when i was on the phone with her.
