Feeling rather sad....
I just found out earlier today that my roommate/best friend's father most likely has cancer. And it's not the easy to cure kind, it's a mass in his chest/lungs (yes he used to smoke).
It's amazing how quickly life can just turn on you. It's hard to see how important it is until it really touches someone close to you.
Her parents are staying with us this weekend and I just walked in and they were sleeping. Just seeing her father there laying so helpless it almost made me want to cry. I am really worried that this will be bad. Lauren is so close with her family, I can't imagine what this will do to her or her mother, or anyone. This is just so horrible.
