Today I went to Open Pool Hours from 4-6. It was so pleasant. Just a bunch of girls in bathing suites hanging around, tanning, reading, etc. Also, the pool is salt-water, not chlorined, so that's good also.

Kelly and I went back to our room after diner and decorated/cleaned it. We made the coolest bulletin board! Y'all must see it, it's classic. Everyone says we have the best dorm, even within our hall. We're lucky we both have good taste and are neat, and have tons of room.

At 8:30 we went to the Dean's house for Dessert! Can you believe it? She invited our hall (and the others at different times) to have dessert at her private home. So we walked over there (she lives in one of the old houses a couple blocks down), and she was so sweet. There was a small jazz band playing in her back yard and just a bunch of tables with her and any faculty that wanted to come. I don't think we could find anything like this at any other school, and I told her so. She also invited all the students for Thanksgiving because she knows that many live far a way, etc. She's just a very warm, intelligent person. I am so impressed with this school.

The Scripps Carnival was at 9 o'clock and the lot of us went to do all the fun things there-- rock climbing wall, bounce house, tatoo (I got a removable frog tatoo on my ankle!), played Bingo, and just met lots of people from the other campuses. Yes, we did meet some guys, but noone too substantial yet, of course. I'm sure we'll meet more people at the Dance tommorow night. Anyways, around 12 some cool people came to our room and we began watching "French Kiss." But since everyone was tired we turned it off, Julia slept over, but everyone else went back to their room.

Here's the crazy part: at 2:30 in the morning, a bunch of R.A.'s ran through the hallway to wake us up. Apparently every year there is what is known as "The Mudd Run". Basically, the Harvey Mudd guys run through the Scripps campus and wake up all the scripps girls, make them come outside to see what the rucus is, and then waterballoon them. So this year the girls decided to be prepared. They were 'scheduled' to come in at 3:30 (thanks to an outside source) so at 2:30 we all made a production line to make hundreds of waterballoons. We hooked up hoses around campuses, and filled trash cans with water. By 3 o'clock, we had set ourselves up all over campus behind bushes, trees, in holes, and were ready. At 3:30 a massive waterballoon fight broke out , and needless to say we completely caught them off guard and regained our campus!

Now it's about 4 a.m., and from the adrenaline, I couldn't sleep so I decided to write all this nonsense. It was my cousin's 22nd bday and i forgot to call him.... I have a pre-med meeting tommorow morning at 10, so I should probably try and get a sufficient amount of sleep.

Ah yes, an I forgot my classes: (if it doesn't fill up)

Core 1 (11-1150 T W TH)
Intro to Biology (810-925 T Th)
Fundamentals of Neuroscience (935-1050 T Th
Writing 50 (Medical Narrative) (415-530 T Th)

If all goes well that means NO CLASS MONDAY OR FRIDAY!! Wooh which means I can go to Lindy Groove on THursday night, and just 'out' in general!!
