I Can Has Job Naow?
Apparently so. I'll be starting another temp gig in Redwood City come Monday. The money is good (I almost typo-ed that as "god," which may not be wholly inaccurate), my cohorts-to-be seem nice and not overly ill-dressed, and they've actually been honest with me about my temp status. Best of all, there will likely be a minimum of smelly lunatics shooting up in the bathrooms, which has come to be a new job requirement for me. Hell, they may not even have bomb threats - though it's Kaiser, so perhaps it's only a matter of time.
The nice part is that I can spend a few days slacking . . . it's that happy "I have a job but I haven't actually started it yet" phase that I enjoy so much. Tomorrow is Rosh Hashana, and will therefore be spent in synagogue, but Friday afternoon is MINE, damn it. There may be a pedicure in my future.
