The Tower of Babel
wow its been 2 weeks... not entirely my fault - the internet in this place is prone to fuck ups - frequently! speaking of... here's a little insight into how much i hate this place right now:
ok, well TAFE finished 2 weeks ago, for the semester anyways, and here's what happened on my last night of assignments:
the comps here have NO programs, which means not even Powepoint (LAME!) which i desperately needed (i had an assignment due 8:30 the next morning) so i searched and searched for a laptop, eventually finding an Indian guy's(however as i do not have access to a USB port here as they have the box locked up, i had to email the Powerpoint to myself which annoyingly would not open - feel my pain) so that was a waste of time! then i needed to edit a video i already edited once but saved it in the wrong format, so i used my friend Tai's comp but being in Japanese, and her not knowing iMovie, she found it difficult to translate and I couldnt change the format from NTSC to PAL. so then i ran around once again (it was about 1am at this stage) and eventually found a KOREAN computer!! ha! I managed to work out Windows Movie Maker despite the language barrier even tho i'd only used that program once before and had no idea wtf to do! lol.
And the internet was being painfully slow, and the only server that would work was Google. so, having needing to email my assignments to myself (DAMN PLACE!!!) i made myself a gmail account out of last minute desperation, having no intention to ever use it again. and so, being...me (and incredibly irritated at the whole situation) my password ended upbeing thissucksdonkeywang coz it suuure did!
and so Tai and I sat in this computer room aaaall night drinking black coffee and eating Cheezels and struggling to meet our deadlines. lol. i ended up getting about 45mins sleep, if that - BOGUS!
