poem time

its late at night
as we wander to the hidden place
you hold me close
my heart begins to race
i know its all wrong
its common knowledge that im not the only one
i pretend for just one sweet moment
ill let this all go, before the rising of the sun
but for one night
one sweet moment, time is not moving
you were mine
just you and i, completely wrong, but some how soothing
the fireflies were everywhere
you kissed me in the moonlight
everything was beautiful
i tried to resist with all of my might
but your eyes your smile you're hand in mine
all the elements of romance were there
you whisper softly in my ear
"we just had a moment, i wanted to share"
i smile, you laugh
you take my hand and walk me back
fingers entwined, my soul unravels
the air is cool, the night is black.
as good as this may sound
i need more
someone who sees me
for more than a pointless score
as i gaze upon the horizon
i realize what most cannot see
i realize its not good enough
you're just not that into me
but i am fine with this
you may not see it
but i can wait for true love
i dont mind one bit
my heart is begging to be stolen
it has so much love to give away
not today, and probably not tommorow
