A few weeks ago at work:
I walk into one of our clients' offices to take care of a problem (I will use 1 and 2 in place of real names)
Client: "Oh, Hey 2, my computer is having this issue..."
Me: "Oh, no, my name is 1, 2 works in a different department"
Client: "Oh, I'm sorry. You two must look alike"
Me: "I guess, kinda. What was the problem?"
Client: "Well, is he black too?"
Me: "....Um...Ye-"
Client realizes she might've wanted to think about that and waves me off with a nervous chuckle before beginning to explain her problem.
I wasn't offended or anything, though I found it a little funny that being black automatically makes me look like every other black guy out there at least according to her.
