So outside of going nuts for books to read (lol), I have been keeping tabs on the news LIEK WHOA.
A lot of my commentary on it is over on my plurk, mostly because it's quicker. Micro-blogging, yo.
But in short, I've been reading news sources such as: CNN.com, BBC.com, English.Al-Jazeera.net, newschannelasia.com, The Seattle Times, and The Wall Street Journal.
The latter two are because they're the newspapers that my workplace gets (though I find myself enjoying the opinion and review sections of WSJ). But yeah, mostly newspaper ink gets everywhere. I have learned this the difficult way.
Idk man, I've been everywhere lately. Clearly I need to continue it because I feel stagnant otherwise.
But yes, I have OPINIONS on what is going on in the world today and I don't know if I'll share it here because maybe you all follow my plurk and already know it. If not, wait a little longer and I may make a post about it.
As it stands, I will definitely be getting more informed on the presidential candidates for 2012. You thought the 2008 elections were world-impacting? Think again. This presidential race could decide many things--not just for us, but for our allies and for those countries currently in turmoil. Because the way I see it? These things aren't something that will resolve themselves easily or peacefully.
But who knows, we'll just have to see.
