How Liberal / Conservative Are You?
I didn't like the marijuana question. It gave me a "liberal" rating for saying "it's your business" because I believe that is a better answer than "slap on your wrist". I believe it should be punished much more than a "slap on your wrist" or not prosecuted at all because the current laws do nothing. It should be up to each state as to what punishment, if any, should be levied. There are too many laws that are under federal jurisdiction that should be left up to the states. I believe that gay marriage and the influence of religion in public life should be left up to each individual state. Let the people of each state, or even smaller jurisdiction, decide with what laws they want to live with. Just because gay marriage is okay in San Fransisco doesn't mean that the majority of people in Memphis have to live with something they don't agree with and on the same right, just because religion is prominent in Houston doesn't mean that the majority of inhabitants of Chicago would agree with that.
