Getchyurasskicked Park

They are in the production stages of Jurassic Park 4, and Steven Spielberg is saying he'll probably be in the director's chair. First a new Indy, and now this. With both, I must say I'm excited, but cautiously so.
When the first Jurassic Park came out, I was still in my "I Love Dinosaurs!" stage that so many boys go through ( Although mine lasted well into my teens) so I had the biggest Jurassic Park boner imaginable leading up to it's release. We saw it at the Northpark theater because they had the best sound system in Dallas (demolished now. killed by the impersonable and poorly run megaplexes that have killed moviegoing ever so subtly). From that point on, I was not just a Dino freak, but a movie freak as well. This was before Star Wars really took my breath away. It also led me to read as much crichton as I could get my hands on. Sphere, by the way, is an awesome book that the movie barely scratched.

When Lost World Came out, I was stuck at camp in OK, so my whole two weeks were spent imagining how awesome it would be. I for one loved it. I had minor squabbles about it, but I thought a T-Rex in a city was the best way to improve on what had been done before. Lots of people hated it, but I still have a soft spot in my heart for the little sequel that could.

Now then - JP3 came out while I was at Disney, and I must say, while entertaining, it really let me down. spinosaur taking Rex's spotlight. Raptors suddenly looking different. People not staying dead. It bugged me. It's like Highlander 2. Entertaining, but not as great as it's predecessors (of course, the same could be said for Highlander 3 , Highlander Endgame, Highlander the series, Highlander Raven,,,)

Here's to hoping JP4 will be super awesome...

Indy doesn't worry me nearly as much. Don't know why. I just have a lot of faith in it.
