After my Macbook died a painful death at the hands of a bunch of incompetent shippers (at least that's my suspicion), I am finally getting my new (refurbished) Macbook tomorrow! It's a little more advanced with more memory than the last one :) The only issue is that it is white and I really dislike the look of the white Macbook. Beggers can't be choosers though and this one was half the price of a new one even with all the options I added.
I had to make a new wordpress for my school. We are doing a blogging project called LU and Andy, which focuses on our Andy Warhol class. It's got a lot of discussion and once it really gets going, I'll share the link :) Anyone is welcome to participate in discussion in the comments!
The new blog I made for it is another horror blog because I am predictable. This one is from more of a feminist, social justice, and debate standpoint. My first review, of the Fright Night remake, is up! Here is the link to the new press if anyone is interested:
http://studentofhorror.wordpress.com I have a tentative thesis for my andy Warhol research as well. I say tentative because of Lipscomb's religious nature. while the head of the art dept. and teacher of the class, and my classmates all think that the topic of "Andy Warhol as a Gay Icon and his Creation of the Straight Female Gay Icon" is an awesome topic, idk how it will go over with the more conservative deans and this can effect my chances of being one of the four students to speak at our end of semester arts symposium. People from the Warhol Institute, the curators of the Frist and a bunch of people are invited and it would be a great opportunity. I'm torn because I don't want to bow to the whims of a bunch of homophobes, but at the same time I really, really want to give this lecture :( Cross your fingers that this all turns out well.
Going to see my big sissy
gabietink in Bowling Green on Saturday :D Will and I can't wait <333
