Speak now or forever hold your peace. Just don't get caught holding it in public.

Current Song: Pearl Jam -- Alive.
Current Mood: Hung over.

Went to work drunk as a skunk who'd been drinking. It's an unfortunate habit I've made, but I went out with the roomies last night for several pitchers of beer. It's a sad day when Marc is the heavyweight -- drank them both under the table. Work isn't so bad these days because I own the job and by manipulating the stereo I can get the Edge and some other Toronto stations. I seem to pick up 108 only if the stereo is upside down and on the third shelf. I pick up 102.1 only if the stereo's cord is stapled to the ceiling. Don't ask me how I know this -- there's no doubt I'd be fired/committed if anyone knew the horrible, horrible truth.

Finished Nietzsche's last real work yesterday (The Antichrist). His rabble and frequently incoherent dialect rendered many of his points as fanaticisms, more like the mere squabblings of an insane old man. I did pick up one very good concept from the book, where he suggests that any conception at all of the beyond is a predilection of nothingness. I'm moving right onto another work, a book I've had in my possession for a long time but never had a chance to read, a collection of essays and maxims on existentialism, and after that Mike has a book by Foucault that I'm going to pick up.

Feels like there's half a dozen coked-up monkeys jumping around in my skull, and I just can't catch any of them. So I'm going to bed.

The free world
