So for the few of you who actually care, we saved Bravo! He's safe now... at least for a little while. I found out he's almost been put down ELEVEN times in his 16-year life! :o
My neighbor Rachel came up to me yesterday and told me she knew someone who had Bravo, and she wanted to warn me that this lady said "Bravo will kill me". Isn't that nice?
So far he's showing every sign of NOT being crazy. Infact, I think the route of his problems is not only the fact that his teeth are a mess, but so is his back! Why nobody picked up on it sooner is beyond me. When I run my hand along his spine he flinches and sinks away from the pressure. It could explain his 'explosive, unpredictable' behavior. God damnit! Why did NOBODY think to check his fucking back?! Upon being asked about it, one of his old owners said she DID remember he had a sensitive back.
I took him for a walk yesterday around the block, he seemed to really like it! I'm falling into a trap... I just love him <3 . He's actually really sweet! He follows me around the paddock and the first day he was here he walked up to me and pressed his forehead against me... I wanna keep him now. Even if I never ride him! I- well no, the rescue is going to have him for a long time. At LEAST 6 months. Yay!
Shurman has FINALLY stopped being a he-bitch. Bravo's got scars all over his butt because of him! But yes, there's no more charging going on so that's good. Hankis loves him <3 I swear horses can be gay. He's so purty, and he moves sooo nicely! Here's pics! (look at that face, doesn't he look crazy?):

OMFG GERRI GOT A NEW HORSE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! He is SO FUCKING COOL! I am so in love with him! His name is George...
I went with them to test drive him on Friday, and he was trailered up here yesterday! He has a big floaty trot and his canter is the coolest thing I have ever felt- I swear his knees hit his chin! It felt like we were cantering uphill, lol! So he's a trail master. He does need some tweaking so I'm gonna be riding him for a little while and Gerri will continue to ride Shurman.
THIS is the BEST part! George is a CLYDESDALE/QUARTER HORSE and he looks soooo much like Shurman! Except... well, don't tell Shurmie I said this, but George is prettier :o He has a huge honkin' neck, and a shorter back. And I think he might be a little taller. Oh yeah, and he's bay. I've got a few pictures of him!

I'm going to be starting two more training jobs soon. One is that 3 yr old PMU. I've been playing telephone tag with his owner for the past 3 days -_-
Another is an Appy gelding named Cisko. I went to see him the other day. His owner is literally killing him with kindness. I was absolutely apalled! Cisko is THE fattest horse I have EVER seen. He has respitory issues because he's so fucking obese! He walked up to us in the paddock and he started weazing. He has difficulty breathing ALL the time, watching him is sad :( . Thirty seconds of trotting and I thought he was going to collapse. He also has heart issues, and his legs are all puffy from packing around so much weight. His entire body is lumpy... it's gross.
Did I mention he's an asshole? Oh yes! Nicole walked up to him and patted him on the shoulder, and he spun around and nearly kicked her in the head! ... the whole time I was there I was muttering under my breath 'I hate Appaloosas'. Gad what a jerk.

Raiah's doing so well! She hasn't bucked in three rides now! Peggy and her daughter Alicia even rode her on Friday! On the lunge mind you... they have to learn how to ride her before I let them off. I told them both they have to sit really quietly in the saddle and be really soft and gentle with their aids. Peggy did pretty well except she was too harsh with her hands when she asked Raiah to stop, so she did a pissy-head-tossy-tail-swishy-trotty thing and THEN stopped. The daughter though, my god Raiah almost killed her! When she asked her to walk she bumped her heels against her sides, which startled her, and when she was walking she kept squeezing her legs. So of course, that didn't go over very well at all. I yelled at her to circle Raiah and she did, but because it was so fast she used her calf muscles to hang on >_< . I've got lots of work to do...
