Not really. It just makes girls wish for a guy who would climb a ferris wheel to ask them on a first date.It makes a dude look bad for not having a lake full of beautiful swans in the immediate vicinity. Wow!!It sure is great that I happened to spy the picture of my one true love in the local paper a couple of weeks before I'm married off. And hey, while we're at it, lets synchronize our deaths because our love can do anything. Good for you Noah. Good for you Allie. Good for you Alex for knowing their names.(Should I be embarassed about that? I don't care, whatever.)
It just seems like there's this kind of idea of needing that ideal love story. Messy, but not too messy. Passionate, but not obsessed. A one in a million shot. And if your story isn't cute and perfect with a beautiful ending, well then your story's not worth telling. Better start from scratch and hope that she waits around for 6 years while I write her everyday.
All that being said, its probably the greatest movie ever for an ice cream binge. A hell of a tearjerker of a movie. What? you didn't cry while they held each other?...........you heartless bastard.
