I've looked through the tags, and I'm fairly certain this has not been asked/answered before, but if it has, I apologize.
The
description on the JET webpage of what sorts of offices CIRs are placed in is quite vague, saying just "CIRs are placed in offices of local authorities or related organizations."
I somehow get the impression that most CIRs would be working in 市役所 or the like, perhaps 県庁 - official local/municipal/prefectural offices. But what about those "related organizations"? What other kinds of places do CIRs work?
When I was living in Yokohama last year, my school was next door to the offices of an organization called the
Yokohama Association ofr International Communications and Exchanges (YOKE). The
JICA building was nearby. Do CIRs work in these kinds of places?
More to the point, since I have a background working in museums, and an academic background in Japanese history and traditional arts, do you suppose there is any possibility whatsoever of being placed in a museum or arts organization?
Current CIRs on the list - where are you working?
