Totally gross!!

Yesterday evening I found one of THESE in a salmon fillet we had prepared at home. It looked like a tiny semi-clear worm that could have been mistaken as a bone or bit of muscle... I wouldn't have noticed it except for the movement. The thing was still alive and moving even though we had cooked the salmon (a bit rare, admittedly)!!! I really hope there were no others in the fish that I ate before I noticed or any in the other fillets that were eaten by my friends that night!!

Just... Gross!! My advice to those who like to cook at home: cook your fish well or freeze it the night before... Or at least check it thoroughly before eating!!

Has anyone else had brushes with these disgusting things or know anything about them?
