The other night Karen and I rented Noam Chomsky's Imperial Grand Strategy, if only to heckle him. However, Noam Chomsky turned out to be not so wacky in his opinions but there were still some room for heckling. We were hoping that Noam Chomsky could outline this "imperial grand strategy" of the secret elite and then tell the Bush Adminstration what it is supposed to be doing, but alas, Noam knew less about strategy than the Bush Administration. In fact he never actually articulated what the "imperial grand strategy" was and went on a long, rambling lecture about US evil, particularly Cold War politics and Iraq, with many unfair comparisons to the Nazis (who worked long and hard to get that evil).
It was a waste of a rental, since it wasn't even outrageous enough to be entertaining, besides just being a bad documentary.
