She died this past year, from illness due to old age. Her sister, Lady, passed away two days later.

I am adopted, and do not know my biological parents, nor do I know much at all about them.
As for my adoptive parents...
I have a mother and a father, whom have been married for over 38 years.
My mom is an elementary school teacher for the Jordan School District in Salt Lake County, Utah. She currently teaches 6th grade, and loves it.
My dad recently retired from his profession as a professional Boy Scout, District Executive for the Boy Scouts of America, Great Salt Lake council. Scouting was his life and his love, and his passion is where my own passion for scouting came from as well.
B E S T F R I E N D S
Deanna - she's been one of my best and most cherished friends since elementary school. Of every person who has come in and out of my life, she is the one who has stuck by my side the longest. No matter what I've thrown at her, she's never given up on me. I love her so much.
Mike - we've known each other for many years... our relationship started out as a working partnership, being lifeguard partners at the camp we worked at... and evolved into something very special and meaningful to us both.
Ruth - Though our lives have gone different directions and I don't even get the chance to talk to her anymore, let alone spend time with her (especially since she moved out of state a few years back) she is still, and will always be one of my dearest friends. A sister by choice.
Alexandra - My online/LJ bestie! I cannot wait until the day when we finally get to meet in person. I couldn't ask for a more supportive, lovely and amazing friend.
Tiffany - I consider her like a big sister... she has always been a rock and strength for me when I've needed her most, as I have tried to always be for her as well. I hope to meet her in person one day also. For now, I am grateful to have her in my life, even if from across the miles.
B-Jay - we met through scout camp, where we both worked during the summers as hike guides & lifeguards. B-Jay was always a very special person to me, someone I could always trust, depend on and look up to for support and inspiration. We lost touch for many years, and just recently reconnected again. I am so happy to have him a part of my life once more. :)
