More about fitness classes

All I post about is gym/yoga/group fitness, work, trans crap (still? Shouldn't I be over that already?), and being somewhat socially isolated. Hm, related maybe? Freelance + work out addiction + weird minority status= isolation? Eh. Whatever.

I've made an interesting discovery while taking a bunch of pilates classes. 1) I can't do those roll-y sit up maneuvers to save my life 2) I'm actually kinda good at the ballet stuff!

I've always thought of myself as a person without any amount of rhythm, grace, or coordination. But since ballet is so precise and I'm a yoga freak with OCD tendencies, my posture and alignment are impeccable. I've had multiple pilates teachers just assume that I was a dancer, probably mostly because I'm a skinny dude, but thats still mind blowing for someone who's made a career of making fun of dancers and only awkwardly dancing when intoxicated.

This sounds bananas, but I actually really want to take a ballet class. Has someone covered the market for weirdos with no dance experience who want to take ballet with absolutely no professional aspirations? Where do I even begin to look for this?
